Michael Cation, Founder

Michael Cation brings a wide range of executive experience to NovusEdge. His leadership positions have included serving as President and CEO of Globeset, a technology leader in the electronic payment market, and as a vice president at BT Ventures, a venture capital arm of Bankers Trust. He also co-founded Verity, a global market leader in information search and retrieval. Just prior to joining NovusEdge, he was a venture partner with Sanchez Capital Partners, where his work focused on Texas-based early-stage IT companies.

Anno Scholten, Vice President of Business Development

Anno Scholten has more than 25 years experience in the security, controls and building automation industries. Before joining NovusEdge, Mr. Scholten was CTO for Plexus Technology Inc., where he was responsible for market development of Plexus’ web-based solution for building automation systems. Prior to that, he was a founder of eStructures, a company offering hosted card access systems. And before that, he was VP of Engineering for CSI Control Systems (now TAC), a worldwide building automation system provider. As an innovator and thought leader in the industry, Mr. Scholten has also served on many key industry standards committees.

Douglas M. Boughton, Chief Financial Officer

Doug Boughton brings more than 20 years of financial management
experience gained in manufacturing and technology environments. Prior to joining NovusEdge, he held roles as Director of Management Information Systems at AMX Corporation, Director of Business Improvement and MIS at RF Monolithics, Inc.and CFO at Applied Engineering. He has also provided financial consulting expertise to start-up and restart companies including Digital Risk and SourceCheck, Ltd. He began his career as a senior account and consultant in the Emerging Business Services division of Deloitte & Touche.  He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree from Texas A&M University where he graduated cum laude and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1989.
